The ferocious Brother Rice defense is not and nothing else a nightmare to play against, the opportunistic Crusaders outfit is threatening to outscore its possess offense.

Senior cornerback Pat Garrity and junior cornerback Doug Schumacher replyed interceptions for touchdowns to clew a 22-point explosion that propell the No. 8 Crusaders (2-0) past Bishop McNamara 31-7 Friday night.

With Brother Rice holding a 9-0 lead in the final minute of the third quarter, Garrity stepp in fore-rank of a wide-receiver throwback pass and dashed 45-yards down the left sideline for the touchdown.

"I knew they were going to essay some kind of trick play," Garrity said. "He got hit just as he threw the ball, and that allowed me to degree in front of it."

Garrity and Schumacher had sum of two units interceptions apiece.

Bishop McNamara (1-1) averted the shutout upon a 27-yard pass from quarterback Travis Skelly to wide receiver Josh Perkins.
