Losing fantasy owners: Aren't you g...

Losing fantasy owners: Aren't you glad you got A-Rod with the first or next to the first overall pick? It's not your fault. each fantasy expert said you were a moron if you didn't draft Alex Rodriguez there. He was part of the "Big 2" in March. He and Albert Pujol were the consensus top picks, and it was solid intelligence leading us to that conclusion.

How's that going for you, A-Rod owners?

With greatest in number fantasy sports fans focused in succession football drafts, it's time to apply that hard-learned lecture

Don't be in this way sure you know what you think you know. That's for what cause or reason they play the games.

Draft with your intestine and don't let anyone treat insolently you.

Remember, the following questions might have made little sensation in March. But now they're all totally valid:

- Rodriguez, 3B Yankees (275-26-94) OR Garrett Atkins, 3B Rockies (315-21-91)?

Who would have pondering this question would have any basis in reality at the start of September? moreover it's a perfectly reasonable common now because Atkins hits line drive after line drive and has shown surprising power without the benefit of a typical Coors Field boost Meanwhile, A-Rod has drawn resort to frequently jeers at Yankee Stadium. Last weekend in Anaheim, Rodriguez went 1-for-15 with an outlandish 10 strikeouts. It's sad to watch this subsequent time Hall of Famer's skills fade.

- Eric Chavez, 3B Athletics (240-16-57) OR Adrian Beltre, 3B Mariners (265-16-60)?

This question is no surprise because fantasy proprietors have been debating it for many years. The surprise is the answer: Who cares? sum of two units of the league's so-called elite hitters have fallen in the way that far that there are arguably 25 third basemen with more fantasy value than these pair Barring a September miracle, Chavez will fail to hit 30 homer and watch his average fall for the fourth consecutive season. Beltre's bat has awakened in the last month with seven domestic circle runs, but he certainly doesn't examine anything like the MVP candidate from 2004

- Grady Sizemore, OF Indians (292-20-60 18 SB) OR Eric Byrne OF Diamondbacks (278-20-60 18 SB)?

This is no knock forward Sizemore, who is an worthy of great praise young outfielder and might still improve. It's more an acknowledgment of Byrne who has matured into an elite fantasy outfielder without anyone noticing. Players with 20 homer and 20 stolen bases are exceedingly rare (only Alfonso Soriano and Johnny Damon are generally there, with Jimmy Rollins closing in) and guard to get drafted very early. over and above if you're in a mixed league, Byrne might well be sitting forward the waiver wire. Will fantasy proprietors wise up and draft him high nearest year, or will he continue to learn little respect?

- Albert Pujol 1B Cardinals (322-39-109) OR Justin Morneau, 1B Twins (317-32-110)?

Granted, Morneau has 50 more at-bats than Pujol nevertheless this just illustrates how beneficial Morneau has become. Keep in mind this might be Pujols' best season still and Morneau is right there with him. There is absolutely no reason not to draft Morneau nearest year in the top 10 overall, maybe the top five.

- Huston road closer, Athletics (29-for-37 saves, 322 ERA) OR Joe Borowski, closer Marlins (31-for-34 saves, 321 ERA)?

Remember back in March when Borowski was the no other than closer not drafted in your league because he had underwhelming matter and played for a team that was going to win 50 games maximum? exhibits what we know. Borowski still doesn't have elite material but he has been as steady a closer as there is in the majors this year, blowing fewer opportunities than Billy Wagner (five) and BJ Ryan (four). Will he master respect as a closer in drafts nearest year? Probably not. He's just not a dominant pitcher.

- Roy Oswalt, RHP Astros (10 W 127 K 325 ERA, 121 WHIP) OR CC Sabathia, LHP Indians (10 W 138 K 322 ERA, 120 WHIP)?

Oswalt was suppos to be single in kind of fantasy baseball's three best pitchers. Sabathia was suppos to be overweight. Neither has happened. Oswalt might have dominating material but he has been inconsistent and mostly importantly his strikeout rate continues to fall. Sabathia has had a to a high degree good year, but the bottom line here is that if Oswalt no longer whiffs 200 batters in a season, he's a solid-but-unspectacular fantasy starter.

- britzska Myers, RHP, Phillies (10 W 146 K 424 ERA, 136 WHIP) OR Scott Olsen LHP Marlins (11 W 133 K 424 ERA, 134 WHIP)?

Olsen hasn't unruffled been the best of the Marlins' rookie starters, still he already has attained the same fantasy status as Myers, who is certainly among the better National League starters. Myers, when forward is elite because he strikes revealed nearly nine batters a game. if it be not that he lacks consistency. The exact same things now can be said about Olsen
