Ryan Frederick, a 5-5 105-pound sophomore from Lockport, was better than 170 other players Saturday at the 35-team Fenton Invitational at White Pines Golf unite in a club in Bensenville. Frederick seated a 1-over-par 71 to claim medalist honors, undivided stroke better than Downers wood North's Russell Katz. "My size is definitely a disadvantage," Frederick said. "I'm always 40 yards behind everyone [off the tee] I just do the best I can." "He doesn't hit the ball in extent but he can control it."
