Michael Haynes' wait to find a of the present day team didn't take 24 hours. The recent Orleans Saints claimed him on the farther side waivers, one of two teams to propose in a bid for general manager Jerry Angelo's first-round pick from 2003

After five drafts, Angelo has three first-round picks left: quarterback Rex Grossman, defensive tackle Tommie Harris and running back Cedric Benson. Harris has 32 career starts. The other four, including the sum of two units departed, have 19 combined.

"Any time a No. 1 pick doesn't work public obviously you're going to be disappointed," Angelo said. "Marc had an injury, and it was fair horrific. We waited 2oe years and I think we were more than patient, on the other hand we didn't see the eventuates we needed.

"In Mike's case, it just wasn't working revealed We kept the best players. We gave Mike the best opportunity that we could possibly do. It's a two-way road I share in his disappointment and his frustration."

A league source who reviewed the waiver-wire list said the fresh York Jets were the and nothing else other team to submit a claim for Haynes.
