The Summer 1958 issue of Chicago Review was mainly given to a special section, "On Zen" comprised of contributions by means of Daisetz T. Suzuki, Shinichi Hisamatsu (Hoseki), Philip Whalen, Gary Snyder and Akihisa Kondo, among others.
