ANDREW RATHMANN: For me and I'm strong for many others, one of the pleasures of your rhyme is its rhetorical intensity--by which I mean the absence of irony, and your willingness to danger grand statements about life, death, guilt, desire, and to such a degree forth. I find this aspect of your work thrilling. further as you know, there is a robust climate of opinion these days that finds of the like kind statements either naive or embarrassing in an way, whereas you are not embarrassed.
